The following is advice from Dan Wilbur, author of How Not to Read and the creator of Better Book Titles:

  1. Even when your book wins the Pulitzer, remember that when you wrote it, it wasn’t perfect. It was a draft.
  2. No one cares about your release date except for you and your mom.
  3. Don’t sweat it if you bomb or people hate your latest Huffington Post blog. 
  4. Cut out cake for breakfast.
  5. It’s never as good or as bad as you think.
