Gary Shteyngart’s SUPER HAPPY BOOKLOVING DOGS CONTEST
GIVEAWAY DESCRIPTION, LEGAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:
To celebrate the release of Super Sad True Love Story in paperback, we’re running a contest from 5/15/2011 to 7/15/2011. Gary will name a dog in his next novel after the winner, who will also receive a signed photograph of Gary with his favorite dachshund, Felix, as well as a signed, personalized edition of Super Sad True Love Story.
HOW TO ENTER:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To be eligible to win, email a .jpeg, .gif, or .png photo of yourself reading Super Sad True Love Story with a dog between Noon (ET) on 5/15/2011 and Noon (ET) on 7/15/2011 to bluestone@randomhouse.com. You may also mail a physical copy of the photograph to Angela Dong, 1745 Broadway, MD 3-1, New York, NY 10019. Limited to one entry per person.
Offer is only open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico), age 18 years or older. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Random House is not responsible for lost/late/misdirected entries or computer malfunctions. Entries that contain errors, are incomplete, corrupted or illegible will not be accepted.
ELIGIBILITY:
This sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) over the age of 18 at time of entry. All federal, state, and local regulations apply. Void where prohibited. Employees of Random House, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and agencies, and their immediate family members and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter this sweepstakes.
WINNER SELECTION:
Winner will be selected by Gary Shteyngart from the group of eligible entrants received by the contest deadline. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor will notify Winner by email. Winner will be required to provide his/her address for mailing of the prize.
PRIZE:
The Winners will receive one hardcover, signed edition of Super Sad True Love Story: 9781400066407, one signed photograph by Gary Shteyngart with his favorite dachshund Felix, and, at a time in the future yet to be determined, Gary will name a dog after Winner in his next novel. Sponsor cannot guarantee publication date of this work.

By participating in this sweepstakes, entrants agree to abide by these official rules. Sponsor is not responsible for injury or damage to any computer, other equipment, or person relating to or resulting from participation in the sweepstakes. Entrants release Sponsor, its agencies, and assigns from any liability, damage and/or loss resulting from participating in this sweepstakes and/or the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to publish, post online (including on www.bluestonebookshop.com, a website created by Random House, Inc. to help provide marketing content for independent booksellers) or otherwise refer to the name of the winner in any and all forms and media throughout the world, and for any and all publicity or promotional purposes, without obligation or compensation, except where prohibited by law.
MISCELLANEOUS:
All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and none will be returned. No liability is assumed for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate or misdirected entries, for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connection, or failed, incomplete, garbled, corrupted, or delayed computer transmission or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of the entries in this Contest. Sponsor (including its parents, affiliates and subsidiaries) is not responsible for errors in printing or electronic presentation of the Contest. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor that negatively affect the administration, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In the event the Contest must be terminated, a notice will be posted on the Contest’s Facebook group page. In the event of a dispute regarding online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the Facebook account that submitted the entry. A potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the Facebook account associated with the winning entry. Any images submitted that are inappropriate, unrelated to the contest, or duplicate submissions will be removed at Sponsor’s discretion. Rules are subject to any requirements and limitations imposed by the FCC and any other state and federal agencies having jurisdiction.
